What is self-development?
Self-development is the time…
…energy, will, and conscious combination of action of an individual to improve themselves in order to live up to their full potential. This can be approached through a psychological or spiritual journey. I use the latter.
In my point of view, self-improvement is not just about excelling myself and fulfil my full potential, but also about taking on a social responsibility. It's about starting a movement to live a more balanced, happier and content life.
I also see it as my mission to strengthen and sustain gender equality in the corporate world to achieve broadly equal opportunities for women and men and to facilitate the return of mothers to the workforce. Everyone is equal in my books.
The basic tools for traditional self-development can be books, videos, conferences and various courses. In addition to that, I believe it is primarily a reflection of conscious thinking and action taking. It is a mindful lifestyle. Its most important foundation is health preservation with sport, healthy nutrition, and a healthy balance of mind and body. Mental training, meditation, visualization and moreover developing healthy habits. All these have become my passion.
It's not a 30-day "transformation" program, it's a lifestyle that you have to learn and then commit to maintain on a daily basis for the rest of your life.
